Real life, Second Life and Insanity in Both

Yeah, I'm still on Second Life, not as addicted to horses....this time, is teh seckz on a fantasy roleplaying sim--rape and forced sex fantasies. Now, before you go and rant and rage at me for roleplaying rape and sex, I must point out a few things:
  1. It's ROLEPLAYING!!!!! It's not....real. It's virtual kinks and fetishes! Hell, there are even CRAZIER fetishes out there! Just look at my F-list and hover over each of them for an explanation. See? There's vore and other such things, like "Watersports" that involves urinating....UGH! I may be nuts but I'm not THAT nuts......
  2. Even though it has the theme of rape and forced sex and even torture, I, as a person, do not condone these acts of violence as being okay. I understand that there are people out there who are victimized and violated by rape, sexual harassment, sexual violence, torture, and other injustices. I agree with those people that it is nightmarish in the sense that you are violated against your will. However, I stand by point #1 with an addition to that: this is all consensual after all, but people are roleplaying it out as rape and forced sex and torture; it's not real rape or sex or torture. It's a roleplaying theme with dark urban tones and to add to the credibility, I don't always do the rape and sex; I also roleplay following a storyline. Much like I do in other places, like Insilico and Siden.
With that all stated, don't think any less of me for fantasizing being attacked in a horrible fashion.....I don't even want to be hurt that way. It is a way from my character to react; she doesn't have to consent to the action, even though I usually do......

Another part of Second Life I'm quite enjoying is Assassin's Grid, a game that's sort of Mafia Wars style but different: you "claim" lands on various sims like a gang "claims" land as part of their territory, you harvest items from them and use those items to craft things to help you survive longer or to make your land stronger. You can form teams and operate under factions like "Deathslayers" and "Assassins".....but I usually do it OOC unless there's some roleplay that I can incorporate into it....mostly because of inspiration and there's other roleplaying going on.... but there were times when you have to just LOL at the insanity of SL..... Like in the most recent of sim claims, there's a Tokyo City.....and when we arrived, a friend I had teamed up with, she said this:
[02:32] Danja Resident: of COURSE its a BDSM park

Now, I have to agree with her--SL = Sex Life. It's where you are in a glorified chat room referred to as a Virtual World.....and you can fuck people on it. It is Sex....and virtual.....cybersex plus porn and a dude walking around with his pants falling off and you just can't help comparing the prim junk he's wearing to a lightly tanned golden turd sculpted smooth.
Yet, AG (Assassin's Grid, I'm with the Assassins, teamed up with Danja and with the Urbanites) is great to play, especially when you figure out "gf" doesn't mean "girlfriend" but rather "good fight"....Yeah, it's hard to get started all the time, especially since people keep killing you all the time because you're easy to kill and power up from..... After dealing with a death at the sim of LOL (I kid you not, there is such a sim!), the following happened:
[01:47] ChallengeRegion: You have died and have forfeited your challenge!
[01:47] Eden Pyrithea: HEY
[01:47] [AG] Assassin HUD v3.1 (wear me):
**GRID EVENT** jazzy Kayo has assassinated Eden Pyrithea **GRID EVENT**
[01:47] jazzy Kayo shouts: gf
[01:47] Eden Pyrithea: i didn't even--i was distracted!
[01:47] jazzy Kayo: hey there :)
[01:47] Eden Pyrithea flaiiilllllssss
[01:47] jazzy Kayo: lol
[01:47] jazzy Kayo: u gota keep an eye out for me lol
[01:47] Eden Pyrithea: you took advantage! this is fight rape FIGHT RAPE
[01:48] jazzy Kayo: lmaao lol
I was obviously kidding about it....but it was true! Like I was working on a blog and all of a sudden, she showed up and I was moving windows around for optimal multitasking, but I saw the messages and she assassinated me! While I was distracted! Ugh, frustrating! But I was able to take on some great sims! And some I selected solely based on names..... :3

On a seperate note, I have to thank NicoleX Moonwall SOOOO MUCH for the opportunity for being in a video made in SL!!!!! It was so awesome! Of course, I was wearing an outfit from Graves Latex and Leather.....and hair from FallnAngels Creations.....with skin as a prize from the Twisted Hunt and using a dance HUD that was given to me by a friend.....but it turned out to be awesome. It was mostly set on a sim that was just very cool, the Spencer Museum of Art and it's so steampunkish and dark and surreal that I looooove it! Helicopter sheep, living prims, bouncing easy chairs......it's just the place for me to hang out and think of the beauty of the decay of life gone past and the power of imagination gone out of control..... So, I'm one of the dancers in the video and a couple of friends are also in the video.....The result of all of us together dancing in a spot on that one sim is Spirit's Dream, a very surreal trip through music and imagination.
See if you can find me! >:3

If you can't see the video via embed, clicky here!

But I'm risking failure by doing this blog instead of doing research for my portfolio for English which is due (at the time of my doing this blog post) in less than 3 hours.....*gulp* Damn exams and damn parents...gonna be heading home tomorrow (on the 7th of May, 2011).....and suffering....will explain more another time.
Til then....PUNK OUT OR BUST!!!!! \o/

Second Semester, SL Trimesters, Naughty Pixels and Much Moar COWBELL!

Alrighty, looks like we've got an update for you.....One, I'm still on SL....don't know for how much longer but, dammit, I'm staying! No more missing out on cool things, no more missing out on fun....I AM KEEPING MY PIXELS INSIDE AND I WILL DUCT TAPE THEM THERE!

After that random nonsense brought on by lack of medication (they wore off by this early early early morning time), I shall go through a few other updates.

~~Liquid Renegade is currently an Amaretto Breedables horse ranch being run by me....I've offered my SL sis to sell them under my brand but she hasn't answered me back yet. Yet it gets kinda crazy in here, considering how LOADS of people pay INSANE amounts of L$s for certain horses. I've battled for less, but my sis seems to get the better ones for some reason. There's also the goddamn demon horses I soooo want desperately! Like...."I'm a demon and I wantz muh demonz horsey plz! I can haz it fer frees? DERP DERP!" It's insane! They do rare-as-hell-freezing-over stuff, like pegasus and unicorn and robocorn (robotic unicorn for those not in-the-know) and charmed and albino and....it's insane! All I've got are horses waiting for teh seckz so that I can sell off their offspring in pixelated crates of hay to whomever cares or wants one. Plus, it looks like we have to start selling off some of our actual horses while we figure out which ones do the best and which ones do the worst. My Silver Arabian gamble turned out to be a bust....so I should probably start selling off all the lamer-resulting ones. I should also stud the females for like.....I dunno, 2k L$s per stud? With an extra 500 for the bundle if they wish to keep it?

Anyways......I may have started late, but the whole OHMAHGUH HORSE thing may be a bit out of control. >_<;; But it does bring some money in. I said SOME. It's not something that I can build an empire on but it's a start. I just gotta learn how to do sculpties and shit and textures in SL before I start doing real outfits..... So for now, Liquid Renegade is doing some ranching and auctioning; you'll most likely see my shit at Mile Hi Stables and Auctioning, where it's realllll good. I'll be trying to do the auctions that Labyrinth Darkwatch or IceBlade Moorsider will be auctioneering at. They aren't like, professionals but they're damn good, Ice especially, since he managed to get a FallnAngels horse sold for a shitload of money! Same for the other ones that usually go for like....few hundred Ls...maybe even a thousand? But when Taevion Cedrus' bro shows up, break out your credit cards cuz he is a lean mean bidding machine and Ice keeps ramping it up. But Dutchh is pretty cool. And we all wind up having fun! \o/

~~FallnAngels Creations finally put out an outfit named after me--sorta. It's them Nede Silks on the Silks Floor of the Mainstore. And I have to tell you, their products are amazing! They might be a bit different from what you're used to in America, but if you like to try Chinese/Japanese/other different foods and you enjoy other ethnic groups like Indian, Chinese, Asian (in general), even Elven/Fantasy/Goth(ish) clothes, furniture, skins, and hair, well then you'll love Falln! Even the owners and the group is awesome! There are people from many different backgrounds and you'll learn to accept each of them if you're that....uneasy about different cultures and lifestyles.

So, yeah, since you get some perks as a FallnAngel, you wind up squeeing as you see your name put on an outfit. Mine, as it turns out, was the Nede Silks; I know, I'm Eden on there, but for reals, guys, "Eden" was already used for another outfit....So Azriel decided to so something different, by doing my name BACKWARDS. Yeah, backwards, like me! xD And I also got the entire set of colors to enjoy so I have to really really say it again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, AZ!!!!!! I enjoyed how it is different and not the usual "silk in front, silk in back" but rather....Four corners, plus skimpy top! ♥ It's very well done, and very cute, too!

~~I've been on this blog, Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter (200 followers!), Digg, Formspring, Livestream, Ustream, BlogTV, Runescape, Newgrounds, and I can't seem to remember the rest of them. But from what I know, I've got a lot of accounts out there under the screen name "LadyEden1337" and I'm telling you now that I've got another one: Tumblr. It's not that big or that great yet but if you follow me on there, you might be able to get stuff that you don't see on the other accounts....might, not will. I can't guarantee you that you didn't see anything there that you haven't seen on here or on another place.....

That's all for now but i'm going to update this post some more later.....

New Year, Old School

After the ball (or Peep) drops and the babysitting detail, the monster headaches and cell phone deaths, the embarrassing text messages and the sauerkraut smell, I began my new year with new thoughts, new directions, a clean slate and a whole lot of incentive to do better than last year's failure of a semester. Fall semester, I ended up prioritizing right, then screwing it all up; it's almost like I was building a tower with blocks, as anybody would in their childhood, but then I deliberately smash it and create a mess just because I want to play video games instead. I admit that I may have gotten hooked even harder on Second Life, this time with a metaphorical steel harpoon instead of a measly little fish hook.....but I now know what it takes for me to do so much better than last semester.

The following is a carrot-on-a-stick plan for success:
  1. If I do all my work on time/early and SUBMIT it, in addition to making it to all of my classes, going to all the study hall sessions, going to work-study when I am scheduled to instead of skipping out (or call when I can't make it), and maintaining acceptable hygiene, I get paid money. Approximately $10 USD a week, in cash. Which is good because there's a Linkin Park concert in Cincinatti that I can't pass up!

  2. If I screw up like I did last time, by skipping class to roleplay on Second Life and thereby causing my grades to slip, then one of the GMs at the cyberpunk location that I roleplay at has no reservations about using the banhammer on me from both the location AND the Ning site that is associated with it! And I don't think I want that..... No, seriously, I really don't want to be banned from where I can chill and hang and be creative. Plus, bannage is worse than a missed concert. Much worse.

  3. I have a whole team of friends with a variety of backgrounds (real life Girl Scouts and associations with my real life sister, Second Life roleplaying, etc.) who are willing to whip my ass to make sure I stay on task before I get to do any fun stuffs. Sure, it'll get annoying as all fuck after a while, but now I understand their reasoning: they want me to succeed and enjoy all the good things, all the rewards of doing well. They really care about me, in fact. So I pretty much owe it to them by doing well and be all like, "I know, you care! You really care! So I'm doing this for you! Just because you care!" But I think I will need random reminders every once in a while about this particular scenario.
  4. I have resources available to me. Why don't I use them? Why don't I use the Writing Center or the tutoring program here at the college? I shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. This isn't high school at all. High school is back home in Pennsylvania. This is West Virginia. Significant others can kick people's asses if it's to defend their girlfriends here! And I don't have a history with anybody--I can reinvent myself all over, and not care who gives a shit!

So, really, I have to get this semester going well for me. I mean, it's my totally-never-ever-gonna-get-another-one last shot at good grades. And good grades are important because it has to do with funding; I must maintain an agreed-upon cumulative average (at the very least) to keep the funding. Because Marshall is fucking EXPENSIVE. I don't have very many scholarships and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation is helping fund my education because it's a form of training, in fact. And because there's a certain program that they're paying for because my family can't. We're not poor but we're not rich either.

So in order for me to do well, I have to knock it off with all the failing I've been doing last semester, put my head down and charge forward. Sure, I'll run into walls but the walls are MY fault. Why shouldn't I do this? That's what I'll be asking myself from now on, if I get stuck in fighting the need to do something that I know I have to do.

So, aside from dreaming about things, plotting other things, being vague and going back for one more round with college, life seems to be good.

I'll wrap this up with a video from YouTube. Nuff said.

Going sXe on Second Life

Well, I'm back to blogging again, and Second Life is gone from my real life for about one more week. I've been gaining back some balance with my life ever since I started my break from it, but I can't stay away for long. I mean, I co-own a punk club on there--and that means that I have to make decisions, make sure djs show up and do their sets, hire more djs, look for hosts and hostesses to hire, set up shop underneath the building (the club is up in the air, in a "skybox"--easily defined as a building designed to be suspended in the air), create products to sell, buy a rent-a-stall system, set that up, set up the vendor system I bought not too long ago, and do some djing myself. At the same time, I have to manage my real life (the life people NOT in-the-know commonly refer to as "first life"), and NOT fail out of classes. Plus, there are some bills to pay, some meds to refill, etc, etc. Hygiene wasn't taken care of, and neither was my dorm room--it was a disaster area! :O Plus, due to my addiction to SL, I had been missing classes......

But this is no longer: I had allowed the coordinator and transition specialist of the College Program for Students with Asperger's to hold on to my computer monitor for at least a week, or until I start getting a grip on my real life. After adjusting to finding other things to do in the evenings, I also had started going to bed earlier, adjusting back to functioning in the local time zone, rather than the time zone in the game known as Second Life Time (really, the US Pacific Time Zone, where the company that runs Second Life is located). However, I learned that going to bed earlier than normal has been fail for me at the very least, but I'll probably get better at it as time passes. In the meantime, I'm still looking for social events to attend, I'm cleaning myself up, losing weight by going to the recreation center (still cool!), taking more showers, etc. In a way, I'm going straight edge on SL, abstaining from it, but only briefly.

Now, I understand that there are people out there who are screaming at me while reading this post: "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? STRAIGHT EDGE IS A MOVEMENT FULL OF PEOPLE USING VIOLENCE TO GET YOU TO ABSTAIN FROM DRUGS, SMOKING, ALCOHOL, AND SECKS! AND TO GET YOU TO BECOME A TREE-HUGGING, FUR-HATING VEGAN HIPPIE HICK!" Unfortunately, for those people, they are wrong. The ideals are right, but the perspective is wrong.

This movement is really a grassroots movement, a positive subculture within the punk culture. In fact, you can claim to be straight edge if you follow certain guidelines:
  1. don't drink
  2. don't do drugs/smoke
  3. don't fuck
That's basically it. (And when I say fuck, I meant casual/pre-marital sex. Pardon my launguage, as well!) Other than that, how much further you can go varies with each straight edger. I mean, yes, there are vegan straight edgers, but that doesn't mean that all sXers ("sXe" is the abbreviation for "straight edge") are supposed to be vegan; it just means that being sXe means something more to these people than the people who AREN'T vegan.

The only problem with this movement is the light that public sees this movement in: many vigilante sXers (known as "hard liners") have been "taking action" to get the "message" out to non-sXers by using violence, such as bombing stores, beating the shit out of people who drink/smoke/do drugs, setting fires and other such unnecessary acts of militant celibacy. I mean, come on! That action is mostly concentrated around Salt Lake City (in Utah), where it is recognized as a gang, and Syracuse, NY. But does it really mean that all sXers are like that?

I'll answer that for you: yes, all hard liners are sXers, BUT not ALL sXers are hard liners.

Think about that for a second. In the meantime, I'll be working on my papers, my projects, exams, assignments, and other school doings, working my ass off at my job, going to an event done by the Student Activities Programming Board (YAYS FOR HALO!), keeping my dorm room clean as best as I can, sniffing around for things to do, sleeping in on the weekends, keeping up with all my friends (not just the ones on SL--in fact, damn you Facebook for all your addictiveness!), and going sXe on SL for one more week! \o/

As a salutation, in parting, I bid you farewell til next time, and until then (since I was actually converted to punk music), PUNK THE FUCK OUT! \o/

Not another "End-of-Semester" Blog Post!

Wow. So many things happened lately and I've survived--for the most part--the first semester of college in my entire life. Yes, COLLEGE, even though high school schedules were structured to be like college--block scheduling really takes a lot out of you, as do sleep and Second Life.

Being addicted to Second Life is nuts. I've been having dreams related to it, more so over Thanksgiving break..... *shudders* So it's probably a problem right now, but i'm having a problem with it being a problem because i don't want it to be a problem! Uh, is that a problem?

But Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you enjoyed your birds as much as i enjoyed my turkey-flavored ham from Perdue! lmao

But yeah, it's exam time..... Reminder for fellow students: in Towers, i kept seeing a flyer taped to the walls and elevators, and i'm pretty sure it's on all your RAs' doors but 24-hour Quiet Hours will start being in effect on Tuesday so everyone can study for exams. And i bleieve i heard correctly that there will be no classes on Wednesday, December 8, for the sole purpose of studying for exams? (and maybe sleeping--i'm falling behind on that, again) Correct me if i'm wrong!

But good luck to you all, and I hope y'all pass your exams! I know i wanna move forward with college--means i get to SEW clothing sooner! (that course is next semester! WOOHOO!)

Final note: you know you've been playing SL for too long if you keep trying to do things in real life that you would do in Second Life.
Examples: jumping up into the air, expecting to fly; threatening to "ban" someone's ass when they're pissing you off; complaining about the traffic by saying "what is up with this f@$king lag?!"; wondering how many prims makes up an interesting real life building; trying to right click objects; asking for teleports to certain locations; looking for the chat bar so you can communicate to people (TRUE STORY! happened to me!); doing the typing thing while in conversation with somebody; not sending someone a picture via cell phone or email or other mode of communication because it's "non-transfer"; figuring out what happened to the "little blue menu"; you hear your bed whispering your name for hours and you can't figure out a way to mute it; and finally, looking for poseballs if you want to do it with somebody............

all worth a real life laugh, especially if you know what i'm talking about!

Enjoy the rest of the week! Cuz trust me: it'll get easier, since we got through the laggy--uh, i mean draggy part of the semester where there's so much to do and not enough time to do it. But if you only slept during the fall break, i tip my hat to you and wish that i had done the same.

For you--a cartoon! LATERS! \m/ (the horns/rocker symbol.....for those not in the know)
